"Back in Time" was first written in November of 2019 after Ashley Syd's first heartbreak. Exploring the ever fluctuating feelings that come with heartbreak she wrote this song as a way to make sense of it all, as well as to self-sooth. This song was also the only song she was able to show her grandmother before her passing, which is why she made sure to make it her first single!
